TOKYO, (Reuters) – Nissan Motor has suspended production of three vehicle models for Canada at its Tennessee and Mississippi plants amid mutual tariffs imposed by the U.S. and Canada on auto exports, the Nikkei reported on Wednesday.

(Reuters) – Europe’s car industry could return to producing 16.8 million cars a year, equalling its post-2008 crisis peak, if the European Union maintains its 2035 clean cars target and implements policies to support the transition, a study published by campaign group Transport & Environment showed on Tuesday.

(Reuters) – Tesla’s sales volume in Germany fell by 60% in June, the German road traffic agency KBA said on Tuesday, although sales of battery electric vehicles rose overall.

COPENHAGEN, (Reuters) – Maersk estimates companies pay effective U.S. import tariffs of on average 21% relative to container load, the Danish shipping group said on Wednesday, less than half the rate before Washington paused its sweeping tariffs in April.

Maersk said in a regular global market update that at its peak, shortly after April 2 when President Donald Trump unveiled tariffs against nearly all U.S. trading partners, the average effective rate was 54%.
