Hindustan Zinc signs deal to deploy GreenLine’s LNG-powered trucks

Source : PTI | Hindustan Zinc Ltd has signed a deal to deploy GreenLine Mobility Solution Ltd’s LNG-powered fleet in its supply chain and transportation operations, India’s first and the only LNG-fueled heavy trucking logistics company said on Wednesday. In a statement, GreenLine said it will invest INR 200 crore for deploying LNG-powered trucks for Hindustan Zinc’s road logistics.

“Hindustan Zinc, India’s largest and only integrated producer of zinc, lead and silver, has chosen GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd (GreenLine), a part of Essar Group and a pioneer in green mobility solutions, as its sustainable logistics partner and is set to deploy GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet in its supply chain and transportation operations,” it said. This acquisition serves as a catalyst for Epsilon’s ambitious plans to eventually cater to 100 GwH of demand and also allows it to go to markets with a proven high performance cathode active material produced at scale, the city-based company said.

Nanoparticles are minuscule particles, often measuring between 10 to 1000 nanometers (nm) in diameter, making them invisible to the naked eye.

These particles are more dangerous to human health due to their much smaller size compared to PM 2.5 or PM 10. Oct 2 (Reuters) – Tesla (TSLA.O) missed market estimates for third-quarter deliveries on Monday as planned upgrades at its factories to roll out a newer version of the Model 3 mass-market sedan forced production halts.

Some analysts believe the upgrades could spark a rebound in deliveries in the fourth quarter by allowing Tesla to refresh its line-up with models that could compete better with offerings from U.S. rivals such as Ford and BYD in China.

Source : PTI | The price of natural gas produced from difficult areas like deep sea KG-D6 block of Reliance Industries on Sunday was cut by a steep 18%, in line with softening of benchmark international gas prices, an official notification said. However, the price of gas that is largely used for making CNG for fueling automobiles or piping to households kitchens for cooking purposes will remain unchanged due to a price cap that is set at 30% less than market rates such as that paid to Reliance.

For the six-month period starting October 1, the price of gas from deep sea and high-pressure, high-temperature (HPTP) areas has been cut to USD 9.96 per million British thermal unit from USD 12.12, oil ministry’s Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) said in a notification. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), an autonomous body tasked with improving the air quality in Delhi and its adjoining areas, made crucial changes to the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) last year and again in July.

The new changes include strict restrictions on the plying of overage vehicles and a complete ban on the use of coal and firewood in eateries, restaurants and hotels when the Air Quality Index (AQI) breaches the 200-mark. Oct 2 (Reuters) – About 4,000 workers represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) reached an agreement with Volvo Group-owned Mack Trucks just before midnight Eastern Standard Time (0400 GMT) on Sunday, the union and the company said.

The temporary agreement must still be ratified by the UAW.
