Source : PTI | New Delhi: Reliance Industries Ltd on Wednesday said it has acquired a step-down subsidiary engaged in the manufacture of petrochemicals and hydrogen, for INR 314.48 crore. In a stock exchange filing, the firm said Reliance Chemicals and Materials Ltd (RCML) is a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of the Company through Reliance Projects & Property Management Services Ltd (RPPMSL).

“It is proposed to make RCML a direct wholly owned subsidiary and hence, the company has today, at around 3:15 p.m., acquired a 100% equity stake of RCML from RPPMSL for an aggregate consideration of INR 314.48 crore,” it said.

(Reuters) – Hyundai’s and Kia’s American financing arm will pay $334,941 to settle charges it illegally repossessed vehicles belonging to military service members, the U.S. Department of Justice said on Wednesday.

According to papers filed in Los Angeles federal court, Hyundai Capital America violated the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act between 2015 and 2023 by repossessing 26 vehicles whose owners had begun paying off their loans prior to active duty. May 2 (Reuters) – Auto parts supplier Aptiv on Thursday cut its annual sales forecast and said it would reduce equity interest in its self-driving joint venture, Motional, with Hyundai Motor.

Shares of Aptiv jumped about 11.6% in morning trading.

Goods train movement to Tripura was hit by a massive landslide in Assam’s Jatinga. Passenger train movement started on April 26 after restoration work. However, train service through Jatinga still remains closed during the night.

Source : PTI | New Delhi: Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday said its wholesales increased 32% year on year to 20,494 units in April. The automaker had dispatched 15,510 units to its dealers in April 2023.

The growth momentum was sustained despite a week-long maintenance shutdown from April 6 for upkeep of machinery and equipment to sustain operational efficiencies, productivity and safety, the company said in a statement.
