HAMBURG, June 30 (Reuters) – Ford (F.N) has found what it described as a major international investor for the U.S. carmaker’s German plant in Saarlouis and has signed initial agreements together with the western state of Saarland, it said at a works meeting at the plant on Friday.

Tesla is expected as early as this weekend to report global deliveries of 445,000 vehicles in April to June, according to the average estimates of nine analysts by Refinitiv. PARIS, June 30 (Reuters) – MG Motor, owned by Chinese company SAIC Motor (600104.SS), on Friday announced a new leasing offer whereby drivers in France can get for 99 euros ($107.6) a month its MG4 electric car, matching a scheme the French government would like to see benefiting cars made in Europe.

The offer runs from July 1 through to August 31 and is done in conjunction with MG Motor’s French banking partner Credit Agricole Consumer Finance (CAGR.PA). It is based on people getting a “super bonus” incentive of 7,000 euros for low income buyers and also includes a 2,500 euros public aid paid in exchange for scrapping an old thermal engine car.

MILAN, June 30 (Reuters) – Stellantis (STLAM.MI) has signed an offtake and equity investment agreement with Australia-listed Kuniko (KNI.AX), the latest of a string of deals aiming to give the carmaker stable supply of key materials for vehicle batteries.

Based on the binding agreement, the Franco-Italian automaker will get 35% of future production of battery-grade nickel sulphate and cobalt sulphate from Kuniko’s exploration projects in Norway, for nine years, the two companies said on Friday in a joint statement. PTI – RACEnergy, a Hyderabad-based deep-tech electric vehicle infrastructure company for battery swapping, has inaugurated its new 10,000 square feet battery production facility here. The facility inaugurated on Wednesday is equipped with a 50 MWh battery production plant, which can manufacture 30,000 batteries per annum, the company said in a release.

This milestone aligns with RACEnergy’s goal of targeting 80,000 two and three-wheelers by 2025, representing a significant step towards their target of having 2,50,000 swappable batteries in circulation in the same timeframe, it said.

The draft of the incentive scheme for electrolyzer manufacturing and a part of the incentive scheme for the production of green hydrogen have been finalized and will be rolled out soon.

The incentives will be provided under a scheme and the draft of the same has been prepared, Bhalla said.

June 28 (Reuters) – Carmaker Stellantis will require union employees to work mandatory overtime at its Warren Truck assembly and Jefferson North factory in Michigan, to boost Jeep SUV production ahead of a potential strike deadline in September, according to a document shared with Reuters.

Stellantis told workers at both facilites the plants will be in “critical status” from July 5 through October 2. Under the current United Auto Workers (UAW) contract, a plant in critical status can run up to 7 days a week for a period of 90 days and require union employees to work more than 9 hours of overtime, according to a notice sent to employees and reviewed by Reuters.

PTI – The Indian automobile industry produced a whopping 2.7 crore vehicles across segments and types, worth around USD 108-billion (INR 8.7-lakh crore) in FY23, with passenger vehicle segment accounting for 57 % at INR 5-lakh crore in the total value, a report said on Wednesday. Also, in the total 2.7 lakh crore vehicles churned out last fiscal, the commercial vehicle segment, which includes small 4-wheel carrier with less than 2-ton capacity to large tractor trailers and specialty vehicles like tippers, share stood at 10-lakh vehicles, generating a value of INR 1.7-lakh crore, management consulting services firm Primus Partners said in its report.

The CV segment accounted for 4 % in the total volume and 19 % in value terms, it said.
