The card is designed to make EV charging more convenient and accessible for users across the nation.
The RFID card utilizes Tata Power’s extensive EV charging infrastructure, which includes a wide network of home chargers, public and semi-public charging points, as well as bus-charging points, strategically spread throughout the country. This widespread network aims to address the range anxiety concerns of EV users and make charging facilities easily available to them.Praveer Sinha, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Power, and Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, jointly introduced the RFID card during a recent event. The card’s tap, charge, and go functionality simplifies the charging process, making it more user-friendly and hassle-free.
The RFID card is equipped with a built-in chip that ensures efficient, secure, and seamless initiation of charging sessions and payments. This feature is likely to instill confidence in EV users and encourage more people to make the switch to electric vehicles.
