MEXICO CITY, (Reuters) – The union ​representing workers at ‌a General Motors plant in Silao, ​Mexico has ​proposed a 10% salary ⁠increase for ​the 2026-2028 contract, ​union leader told Reuters on Wednesday.

Alejandra Morales, ​head of ​SINTTIA, said workers will vote ‌on ⁠the proposal April 9 and 10. The ​union ​has ⁠set a strike deadline for ​April 15 ​if ⁠an agreement with management is ⁠not ​met.
