Tata Motors, on the occasion of the World Environment Day, signed an agreement with BluSmart Electric Mobility for delivering 10,000 XPRES T EVs to the company. This deployment of 10,000 units makes this the biggest ever EV fleet order in India. With deliveries starting soon, these vehicles are an addition to the 3,500 XPRES T EV order, which was signed by both the companies in October last year, and will be used across the country for commuters, in turn helping minimize the carbon footprint. Mumbai, June 2nd 2022 – In a development that is expected to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption and mobility in India, MG Motor India and Castrol India are set to collaborate with Jio-bp to explore mobility solutions for electric cars. Under the partnership, Jio-bp, MG Motor and Castrol will explore setting up four-wheeler EV charging infrastructure and expand Castrol’s existing auto service network to cater to EV Customers.
The partnership is in line with Jio-bp and MG Motor’s commitment to provide a vast and reliable charging infrastructure to electric car customers and accelerating EV adoption in India. Jio-bp is creating an ecosystem that will benefit all the stakeholders in the EV value chain and last year, the company constructed and launched two of India’s largest EV charging hubs. The JV’s electric mobility business, offering charging infrastructure to Indian consumers, operates under the brand Jio-bp pulse. With the Jio-bp pulse mobile app, customers can easily find charging stations nearby and seamlessly charge their EVs. Around 2,94,087 passenger cars were sold in the Indian market for May 2022. The sales increased 185% when compared to May last year. The spike is due to low base last year which was primarily impacted due to Covid-19 induced restrictions. However, the Industry remained flat when compared to April 2022 and is still grappling with semiconductor supplies.
The Volkswagen India team had invited Team WAF for the Unveiling of their upcoming sedan the VW Virtus.

Electric two-wheeler maker One Moto India on Thursday said it has partnered with Reliance General Insurance to provide motor insurance to its customers. The company, which has launched three electric scooters — Byka, Electa, and Commuta, said the partnership will enable easy insurance service to its customers.
One Moto India Vice-President, Marketing & Sales, Aditya Reddy said the company has been strengthening its services and product portfolio.
As the company moves ahead in sync with the strategy, he said the association with Reliance General Insurance is another milestone achieved.

Volkswagen India released their February 2022 sales numbers. They have sold 4,028 cars last month. It’s a 84% jump compared to Feb 2021 Sales performance. It’s their strongest sales performance in last 4 years.
Teams at VW India have worked really hard to make this happen. Several innovations like Sarvottam 2.0, launching class leading Digital Tools, Service cost estimator, service workshop live cams, reducing cost of spares by upto 13 percent and consumables by upto 30 percent have powered this success!

As per the reports shared by FADA, Luxury Cars Retails in India for December saw an upward trend and grew by 19.7% when compared to December 2020. Luxury Car Sales is usually the highest in December and is a high sales month where OEMs continue to offer the best discounts to clear the inventory due to change of year.
