Discover A-MAP’s Complete Automotive Aftermarket Solutions at Automechanika Dubai 2026

 1. A-MAP has had a particularly active 2026, with developments including new and strengthened partnerships, product initiatives and market-facing activities. What would you identify as the most significant developments for the company over the past 12–18 months, and what do they tell us about the direction in which A-MAP is evolving?

Over the past 12–18 months, we have focused on strengthening our foundations while extending our reach. Our portfolio includes trusted international names such as Solite, Sebang, Duracell and Dagenite, as well as ADNOC Voyager lubricants. We also represent leading aftermarket parts brands such as NGK, RBI, ASIMCO parts and OSRAM wiper blades. Our portfolio is completed by our in-house brand, Level batteries.

The most significant milestone was the renewal of our partnership with ADNOC Distribution for automotive lubricants in February 2026. It builds on a strong track record: in 2025, we crossed 10 million liters in the UAE domestic market, and this year, we proudly hosted the fourth edition of the ADNOC Voyager Dealer Meet, bringing together our dealers, partners and key stakeholders.

We have also moved closer to the customer. Solite and Duracell batteries are now available at 30 ADNOC Lube & Oil Change Centers across the UAE, and our free battery health check campaign with ENOC has helped motorists catch battery problems before they turn into breakdowns. The same commitment extends to the fleets that keep the region moving. For operators of trucks, buses and construction plants, we supply heat-resistant heavy-duty batteries, diesel engine oils and a full range of OEM, OES and quality aftermarket spare parts.

At the same time, the past year has been challenging, with economic uncertainty and disruption affecting supply chains, freight costs and business planning. Shipments that would normally take three weeks were sometimes taking eight, while freight rates were changing almost every week. It was a real test of our resilience, but it also demonstrated the value of investments we had made over the years in inventory, warehousing, systems and local partnerships. When shipments were disrupted, we rerouted them through alternative ports, maintained supply continuity, and still grew our UAE sales by 33% in 2026.

Being named Distributor of the Year at the Automechanika Dubai Awards 2025 was a proud moment for the team, and a reminder that recognition carries a responsibility to keep improving. We look forward to returning to Automechanika Dubai this November to meet our partners and customers once again.

Taken together, these developments show A-MAP evolving from a strong distributor into a more integrated, resilient and customer-focused aftermarket partner.

2. A-MAP has continued to expand its portfolio across batteries, lubricants and aftermarket parts, while working with brands such as Solite, ASIMCO, ADNOC Voyager, OSRAM, NGK and others. How is the company responding to changing requirements from UAE fleets, workshops, dealers and aftermarket customers, and where are you seeing the strongest areas of demand?

The aftermarket is no longer one type of customer. Fleet operators look at the total cost of ownership: a cheap part that fails early and keeps a truck off the road is costly. Workshops need the right parts in stock and a simple warranty process. Dealers need trusted brands that sell, and a partner who protects their margins. Drivers want to know that what they buy is genuine and right for their vehicle.

We meet these needs by sourcing exclusively through authorized channels, partnering with recognized global brands and offering a range broad enough for a workshop or fleet to source almost everything from a single account.

Batteries are currently our strongest area of demand. The region’s heat is tough on batteries, and modern vehicles require more power than ever. With our broad battery range, we can match the right battery to each vehicle. Lubricants are equally important: fleets want engine oils that extend vehicle life, and ADNOC Voyager, made in the UAE and tested in local conditions, meets that need well.

What ultimately sets us apart is what happens after the sale: fast response, simple warranty claims, expert advice and reliable stock. We stand behind every product from our warehouse to the workshop, on the road, and through to responsible recycling at the end of its life.  This is handled by AMWAT (Al Muqarram Hazardous Waste Collection & Transport), our dedicated entity for the safe collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste. Each year, AMWAT collects and transports around 1,000 metric tons of used batteries for environmentally responsible recycling.

3. Distribution capability has become increasingly important as fleets and equipment operators place greater emphasis on availability, uptime and supply-chain reliability. How has A-MAP invested in its warehousing, distribution and dealer network, and what advantages does this infrastructure provide to commercial vehicle and construction equipment customers?

I ask our team to think about distribution in terms of downtime, not deliveries. A tipper waiting for a battery or an excavator waiting for oil can cost an operator far more than the part itself, and on a construction site, one idle machine can hold up an entire operation.

Our 270,000-square-foot advanced warehousing facility brings batteries, lubricants and spare parts together with our R&D and quality control teams. For batteries in particular, correct storage and stock rotation ensure customers receive fresh, ready-to-use products. Our ERP system gives us clear visibility of stock and demand across the network, so when a fleet customer asks about availability, we can give a firm answer and plan delivery accordingly.

Our network of more than 1,500 dealers acts as a series of local stock points, so a truck working at a quarry or construction site can often be supported by a nearby dealer rather than waiting for a central shipment. Beyond the UAE, our operations in Doha, Muscat, Lagos and Johannesburg, supported by our Shanghai office, extend this reach into key markets.

For commercial vehicle and construction equipment customers, the advantage is simple: better availability, faster response and less time waiting for parts, allowing them to keep their fleets and projects running.

4. Several of A-MAP’s recent initiatives have focused not only on products, but also on technical training, dealer engagement, customer campaigns and market development. How important are these areas to A-MAP’s strategy, and how do they help the company create value beyond simply supplying aftermarket products?

They are central to our strategy. A product’s true value depends on whether it is selected correctly, fitted properly and maintained well.

Many products returned as faulty are not faulty at all; the issue lies elsewhere in the vehicle, or the wrong product was chosen for the application. Through our R&D and Tech Center, we help dealers and workshops diagnose problems accurately, reducing unnecessary replacements and disputes, and protecting the brands we represent. We take that expertise to the market through battery training delivered with the brands’ own representatives, NGK technical training, OSRAM product training and our ADNOC Voyager mobile training module, which brings product knowledge directly to the workshop floor.

Dealer engagement matters equally. We run dealer reward and incentive programs that recognize partners who invest in stock, service and customer care, while encouraging stronger performance and long-term collaboration. We are also extending this approach through a dedicated Batteries Dealer Reward Program. Internally, our Sales Champion program drives the same standard of performance and recognition within our own team.

We also engage with end customers and the wider community through battery health checks and radio and taxi advertising to keep our brands visible and accessible to motorists. These health checks encourage motorists to test their batteries before problems occur, particularly ahead of the summer months, when battery issues become more common. For us, it is about more than selling a product. We want customers to have reliable solutions, dealers to have the right support, and the brands we represent to build long-term trust in the market. That is what makes A-MAP more than just a supplier.

5. Looking beyond the UAE, A-MAP has established an increasingly international footprint, while continuing to strengthen its position in the UAE market. What opportunities do you see for A-MAP across international markets, and how do you expect the company’s role in the global automotive aftermarket to develop?

Africa is a market we know from experience. We have been in Johannesburg since 2006 and hold a strong position in Lagos. Many African economies depend heavily on road freight, with older fleets operating in tough conditions, creating steady demand for batteries, lubricants and service parts. Success there requires strong logistics, protection of product authenticity and consistent supply, capabilities we have built over two decades.

Dubai’s role as a trade hub supports this reach, allowing us to consolidate products from global manufacturers and supply customers in more than 70 countries across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the CIS and Latin America. Our Shanghai office keeps us close to manufacturers and to developments in battery technology.

I expect our role to grow as a trusted channel between international manufacturers and fast-growing commercial vehicle markets: representing brands responsibly and delivering consistent quality wherever our customers operate.

6. As the aftermarket changes through electrification, evolving vehicle and equipment technologies, digitalization and increasingly demanding fleet requirements, what are A-MAP’s priorities for the next two to three years, and where do you see the biggest opportunities for growth?

As A-MAP approaches its 25th anniversary this December, we remain built on one promise: the right product, at the right time, with the right support. The industry is changing fast, but that promise remains. What evolves is how we deliver it.

Electrification will reach our region step by step, and we are actively exploring opportunities in EV batteries to ensure we are ready as demand grows. Our R&D and Tech Center is already preparing by testing products, working closely with suppliers and strengthening our technical capabilities. Over the next two to three years, however, our priority is not simply to add more capabilities but to make full use of the platform we have already built over the past 25 years. We have invested significantly in our product portfolio, distribution infrastructure, technical expertise, systems, market reach and customer relationships. The opportunity now is to use these strengths more effectively and capture areas of growth where we believe A-MAP can add real value.

One of the biggest opportunities we see is in the commercial vehicle segment. Historically, we have not focused on this segment to the same extent as other parts of our business. Yet the commercial vehicle population across the region continues to expand, driven by growth in logistics, construction, infrastructure and the movement of goods. As consumption grows, more vehicles are required to move products and materials, and that creates increasing aftermarket demand for batteries, lubricants and replacement parts. With our existing portfolio, warehousing, distribution network and technical capabilities, we believe we are very well positioned to grow substantially in this segment.

The other major priority is digitalization, particularly the use of data, analytics and AI. Over 25 years of operating in the aftermarket, we have accumulated considerable market and transactional data. New analytical and AI tools give us the ability to use that information much more intelligently: identifying gaps in our portfolio, understanding demand patterns, recognizing opportunities we may previously have missed and improving inventory, sales and operational decision-making. We therefore expect to invest heavily in technology and AI over the coming years, not simply because it is a trend, but because we see it as a practical tool to improve productivity, efficiency and the quality of our decisions.

As A-MAP enters its next 25 years, our focus is ultimately on combining the capabilities and market knowledge we have built with new technologies and emerging areas of demand. We see significant opportunity ahead, both in how we grow our business and in how efficiently and intelligently we operate it.
