Source : PTI | EV leasing platform Drivn on Friday said it has signed an agreement with AVG Logistics to deploy 100 electric trucks across the country.
The trucks will support AVG Logistics’ operations across diverse business requirements, with specific routes and corridors to be announced at a later stage, the company said.
The partnership marks a significant step towards scaling electric heavy-duty trucking and accelerating the adoption of electric freight solutions across the country, it added.
“The next phase of electric freight will be defined not just by the availability of electric trucks, but by how effectively we can make them work for commercial fleets at scale,” said Alpna Jain, co-founder and Chief Business Officer, Drivn.
The agreement also reflects the growing interest among established logistics operators in financing and leasing models that can support the transition to electric fleets at scale, the company said.
“Our agreement with Drivn to deploy 100 electric trucks reflects our focus on adopting solutions that can support more efficient and sustainable freight operations at scale,” said Vinayak Gupta, Chief Strategy Officer & ESG Head, AVG.
By combining operational experience with Drivn’s expertise in EV financing and leasing, we aim to create a scalable pathway for integrating electric trucks into the fleet while maintaining reliability and efficiency, he added.
