Truck maker Volvo slows production and cuts 250 jobs, daily GP reports

STOCKHOLM, (Reuters) – Swedish truck maker AB Volvo plans to slow down the pace of production at its Tuve plant in Gothenburg and cut 250 jobs at the facility, local daily Goteborgs-Posten reported on Tuesday, citing a company spokesperson.

The cuts at the factory, which produces heavy duty trucks, affect consultants and staff with temporary employment, it said.

AB Volvo did not immediately respond to a request for comment when contacted by Reuters.
