A post-graduate in Business Administration from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (Class of 2002), Amar began building Group Shaman at the age of 19, guided and inspired by his father, Mr. Jatin Sheth. What started from the ground up has today grown into one of Mumbai’s most respected automobile retail groups.
Shaman is now a leading brand in automobile dealerships for Honda cars, Volkswagen & the British icon Triumph Motorcycles in Mumbai.
The group also provides Mobility & Car Rental Solutions through its venture, Shaman Mobility. It also runs a PreOwned Car division that caters to a diverse customer base across the city, offering products from all makes and models.
With 22 facilities across Mumbai, Group Shaman has built a strong operational presence. Amar is also a shareholder in Landmark Insurance, one of India’s largest car and general insurance broking houses. The group employs over 1,000 people in the automotive business and over 800 in the insurance business.
Recognised for his innovative business vision and unwavering commitment to ethics, Amar has championed a deeply customer-centric approach that has earned multiple accolades and industry respect.
Amar currently serves as the Secretary of FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) and is a member of the National Executive Council, a 10-member leadership body guiding the Federation’s strategic direction.
Outside of work, Amar is passionate about the outdoors, engaging in long-distance cycling, running, and swimming.
He also has a keen interest in classic cars.
