Greater Noida, 16^th January 2023: Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the apex automotive industry body today organized the International Conference on Sustainable Circularity in association with European Union: Resource Efficiency Initiative (EU-REI), themed “Recycling in Indian Mobility Context”. The conference witnessed participants discussing the way forward for achieving affordable sustainability aligned with policy changes and future of RVSFs & ELV recycling in the Indian context. The Conference aimed at bringing together Industry Stakeholders and Government representatives at the highest level to create a pathway to Circular Economy in India.

Source : PTI : The government on Friday said the overall ethanol production capacity in India is expected to go up by 25 per cent to 1,250 crore litres by the end of this year, as proactive steps have been taken for faster clearance of projects. A single-window clearance has been put in place wherein ethanol projects seeking interest subvention and environment clearances are given faster clearance. “As on today, more than Rs 20,000 crore worth loans have been sanctioned by the banks for ethanol projects, Out of which Rs 10,000 crore has already been disbursed under the interest subvention scheme,” said Sangeet Singla, Director of Sugar and Vegetable Oils under the aegis of the Union Food Ministry.

GREATER NOIDA, India, Jan 12 (Reuters) – Tata group is considering setting up plants in India and Europe to produce battery cells for electric vehicles (EV), the chief financial officer of its auto unit told Reuters in an interview.

With total sales of 50,000 electric cars to date, India’s Tata Motors dominates the country’s EV market and has outlined plans to launch 10 electric models by March 2026.
