Mumbai, Magenta Mobility, a leading provider of electric mobility solutions, has solidified its position as India’s largest 4-wheeler electric cargo fleet operator. With a fleet exceeding 500 electric cargo 4-wheelers, the company is transforming urban and intercity logistics while reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and efficient transportation.
Building on its leadership in the 3-wheeler EV segment, where it serves major clients such as Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket, Magenta Mobility is now aggressively expanding into the 4-wheeler category. This strategic move strengthens its foothold in the evolving electric mobility ecosystem. The company has launched interstate services across key corridors, including Rajasthan-Haryana-Delhi, spanning over 180 kilometres, and Delhi-Haryana-UP, covering more than 140 kilometres. Additionally, Magenta’s intercity services include the Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai route, a 422-kilometer round trip.
Magenta’s fleet of electric 4-wheeler cargo vehicles, offering a range of 150 kilometres per charge, are designed for extended journeys, significantly reducing carbon emissions and fuel costs. Traditionally, electric vehicles have been limited to intra-city operations with ranges of 100-120 kilometres per charge. However, Magenta’s successful trials prove the viability of EVs for longer intercity and interstate routes.
Mr. Maxson Lewis, Founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility, stated, “As India’s largest 4-wheeler EV cargo fleet operator, we are proud to lead the electric vehicle revolution. Our expansion into intercity and interstate logistics underscores our commitment to delivering sustainable and efficient transportation solutions. Slowly and steadily decarbonisation of logistics in the mid-mile and first-mile is becoming a reality”
Looking ahead, Magenta plans to add 10,000 EVs — including both 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers — over the next financial year. The company is also planning to expand into new cities such as Nashik, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Indore and Kolkata amongst others.
With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, Magenta Mobility continues to drive the future of electric logistics in India, enabling greener transportation solutions across both urban and intercity routes.
