MG’s e-HUB: Powering India’s EV Journey, One Charge at a Time
India’s electric mobility story is accelerating. But every EV revolution needs one critical ingredient — a reliable, visible and easy charging ecosystem.
In that context, JSW MG Motor India has announced a significant milestone: its e-HUB by MG platform has now become India’s largest unified EV charging app, bringing together over 22,500 charging points across the country.
More importantly, the platform integrates 40 leading charge point operators (CPOs) — including Jio-bp, Tata Power, Adani Total Gas, Shell, Zeon Charging, ChargeZone, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
The result: one unified digital gateway for EV charging across India.
A Growing EV Community, A Growing Digital Ecosystem
The e-HUB by MG app has already crossed 1.5 lakh downloads, reflecting the rapidly expanding EV user base in India — and importantly, it is not limited to MG customers.
The platform has evolved into an open ecosystem serving both MG and non-MG EV owners, helping them locate chargers, plan routes and manage charging sessions seamlessly.
To make the experience even more intuitive, MG has rolled out several new features including:
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support
- Charger reviews and ratings from real users
- Smart Trip Planner for long EV journeys
- Nearby amenities discovery for a more comfortable charging halt
Together, these features transform the app from a simple charger locator into a complete EV travel companion.
Making EV Ownership Effortless
According to Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, ‘The adoption of the platform reflects how quickly India’s EV community is embracing connected mobility solutions.’
He further notes that the most exciting part is seeing both MG and non-MG EV owners using the platform to plan journeys, locate charging stations and travel with greater confidence.
By aggregating leading charge point operators on one interface, e-HUB delivers what EV owners value most: choice, convenience and reliability.
Enabling India’s Green Mobility Momentum
Since its launch, the platform has already delivered measurable impact:
- 1.5 GWh of energy dispensed
- 670,000+ green trips enabled
- 300 million kilometres of green travel planned
These numbers underline a deeper shift underway — digital platforms are becoming the backbone of EV mobility.
As India’s EV ecosystem expands, tools like e-HUB by MG will play a critical role in removing one of the biggest psychological barriers to EV adoption: range anxiety.
The WAF View
Anuj Guglani, CEO, WAF comments, ‘India’s EV transition will not be driven by vehicles alone. It will be driven by ecosystems. Charging networks, digital platforms, interoperable infrastructure and seamless user experiences will determine how quickly the country moves from EV curiosity to EV confidence.’
By bringing together 22,500+ chargers across multiple operators into one digital platform, JSW MG Motor India is quietly building an important layer of that ecosystem.
And in the EV world, confidence travels on the same road as convenience. ⚡🚗
