PARIS, (Reuters) – French car maker Renault Group’s Chairman Jean-Dominique Senard will not seek a new term at the end of his current term in spring 2027, a source close to the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.
Senard, who is 73 years old, would remain at the helm until the 2027 annual general shareholders’ meeting, which is generally held in April or May, the source said, confirming an earlier report from La Tribune news website.
A former top executive at tire manufacturer Michelin, Senard was appointed as Renault chairman in 2019.
