In a landmark achievement for the Czech automaker, Škoda Auto India has crossed the 5,00,000 cumulative sales milestone, marking one of its strongest growth phases in the country. The company reported a stunning 90% year-on-year growth, underscoring its accelerated momentum in one of the world’s most competitive auto markets.
Škoda’s record-breaking performance is driven by the overwhelming success of its India-focused product strategy, including the MQB-A0-IN platform that has spawned segment leaders like the Kushaq and Slavia. These models have consistently delivered strong monthly numbers, helping the brand expand its footprint beyond traditional metro markets.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda India, attributed the company’s success to its expanding dealer network, customer-focused ownership programs, and diverse product lineup.
“Our expanding network, our value-driven ownership offerings, and wide product portfolio have been the chief driving forces that have powered our 5 lakh landmark sales and our constant year-on-year sales growth every month,” Ashish Gupta said in a statement.
The automaker also highlighted rising demand from younger customers, increasing interest in turbocharged petrol engines, and stronger digital retail engagement as key contributors to the rapid expansion.
Anuj Guglani, CEO WAF Group said, “With half a million units now on Indian roads and its highest-ever YoY growth recorded, Škoda Auto India is gearing up for its next big leap — new product launches, deeper localisation, and a sharper focus on EV readiness.”
The milestone has not just marked a numerical victory but reaffirmed Škoda’s growing appeal among Indian consumers, setting the stage for an even more ambitious chapter ahead.
