BEIJING, (Reuters) – China’s industry ministry on Wednesday published revised requirements for approving new automakers and vehicles, asking car companies to set up platforms to monitor electric vehicle safety.
The revised rules, which will take effect in 2027, require automakers to track the safety status of all electric vehicles they sell, with data used to support vehicle improvements, the ministry said.
