Christian Levin is a distinguished Swedish automotive executive and the President and CEO of TRATON SE, as well as President and CEO of Scania. He has spent more than three decades in the commercial vehicle industry, building extensive expertise across sales and marketing, product development, research and development, procurement, operations and global business strategy.
During his career at Scania, Christian Levin served as Director of Product Marketing, Managing Director of Italscania S.p.A., Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Operations, and later Executive Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing. These roles gave him broad experience across commercial operations, customer relationships, product strategy and international markets.
In 2019, Christian Levin joined the Executive Board of TRATON SE and became Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for areas including Research & Development and Procurement. In May 2021, he was appointed President and CEO of Scania, before taking on the additional role of CEO of TRATON SE in October 2021.
As President and CEO of TRATON Group, Christian Levin leads a global commercial vehicle group whose brands include Scania, MAN, International and Volkswagen Truck & Bus. His leadership focuses on leveraging collaboration across the Group while advancing electrification, digitalization, connectivity, autonomous transportation and sustainable mobility solutions.
Christian Levin has also contributed to the wider European commercial vehicle industry through his involvement with the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), where he has served as Chair of the Commercial Vehicle Board. He also serves as Chairman of TRATON AB and the Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE.
Born in 1967, Christian Levin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Administration and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He began his professional career with Scania in 1994 as a management trainee and went on to hold a series of international leadership positions within the company.
With extensive experience across Scania and TRATON, Christian Levin is recognised as an influential leader in commercial vehicles, heavy transportation, sustainable mobility, electric trucks, connected technologies and the future of transportation. His leadership continues to shape TRATON Group’s strategy as the global commercial vehicle industry moves toward cleaner, smarter and increasingly connected mobility.
