Karin Rådström is a Swedish automotive executive and the President & CEO of Daimler Truck Holding AG, one of the world’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. She has led Daimler Truck since October 2024, bringing extensive international experience across commercial vehicles, sales, marketing, customer experience, and business transformation.
Born in 1979 in Sweden, Karin Rådström holds a Master of Engineering in Industrial Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. She began her career at Scania in 2004 as a trainee and subsequently held a range of leadership positions across sales, marketing, connected vehicles, buses and coaches.
At Scania, Karin Rådström developed extensive expertise in the commercial vehicle industry, including fleet management, driver services and connected vehicle solutions. From 2019, she served as a Member of the Executive Board responsible for Sales and Marketing, strengthening her experience in customer-focused commercial operations and international business leadership.
Karin Rådström joined Daimler Truck in 2021 as a Member of the Board of Management, initially responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks and the Europe and Latin America regions. During this period, she focused on customer orientation, profitability, service development and the transition toward more sustainable commercial transportation.
In October 2024, Karin Rådström became CEO and Chairwoman of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck Holding AG, succeeding Martin Daum. Her appointment marked an important leadership transition for Daimler Truck as the company continues to transform its global commercial vehicle business.
As CEO of Daimler Truck, Karin Rådström is leading the company across a rapidly changing commercial mobility landscape, with a focus on electric trucks, hydrogen-based technologies, sustainable transportation, digitalization, customer solutions and operational performance. Daimler Truck’s portfolio includes light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, buses and coaches, supported by financial and mobility services.
In addition to her role at Daimler Truck, Karin Rådström became Chair of the Commercial Vehicle Board of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) effective January 1, 2026, further strengthening her influence in European commercial vehicle policy and the transition toward sustainable transportation.
