Fiat Chrysler faces $79 million U.S. penalty for fuel economy shortfall

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles faces a $79 million U.S. civil penalty for failing to meet 2017 fuel economy requirements, the automaker confirmed Wednesday.

FCA  automaker paid $77.3 million last year for a 2016 model year fuel-economy shortfall and a company spokesman confirmed Wednesday the company has received a letter on the 2017 penalty and has 60 days to respond. Read Full Story

Citroen to get former Mitusbishi exec Cobee as new CEO, sources say

PSA Group’s Citroen brand plans to reshuffle its leadership, with Mitsubishi’s former head of production, Vincent Cobee, replacing the brand’s current boss Linda Jackson, company sources said.

Cobee left Mitsubishi in April as part of a wider shuffle among the top ranks at Nissan and Mitsubishi in the wake of the arrest of Carlos Ghosn last November. Read Full Story
