Source : PTI | EV rental and last-mile logistics platform Zypp Electric on Monday announced the nationwide rollout of its franchise partner programme, designed to serve as a collaborative growth engine toward the company’s broader vision of a gig mobility operating system.
The initiative offers Zypp’s commercial electric mobility ecosystem to investors, auto dealers, distributors, quick-commerce franchise operators, and regional entrepreneurs, creating a scalable model to accelerate last-mile fleet electrification across India, the company said.
The program bridges Zypp’s proprietary technology stack, national enterprise client demand, and structured maintenance protocols with the local market acumen and capital of regional business owners.
The platform operates an active fleet of 31,000-plus electric two-wheelers across eight cities, including franchise partners across Jaipur, Rohtak, Hyderabad and Gurgaon.
By integrating franchise partners into its existing logistics ecosystem, Zypp enables operators to deploy commercial two-wheelers with immediate access to contracted delivery volume across quick-commerce, hyperlocal delivery, and e-commerce platforms, the company said.
“Since the launch of this model, in the last 45 days, we have successfully opened four franchise models and are getting a huge number of requests to open franchises in several other markets. This way, we can catchup our EV expansion in 100-plus markets where quick commerce and food delivery are already thriving,” said Akash Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO, Zypp Electric.
Next phase of priority rollout is planned into emerging commercial clusters, including Lucknow, Surat, Indore, Bhopal, Vijayawada, Kochi, Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, where surging consumer demand for rapid delivery is outpacing legacy fleet infrastructure, the company said.
